How I met MistressNaoko
It was the day before Malaysian Idol auditions in 2004 and I was in college. I was randomly talking to college people when I bumped into her – it turned out that she was going to the same auditions too.
We went to the auditions together and decided to hang out in college by the next semester (it was already hols during the auditions).
Ever since then, we’ve been close friends.
How I met Asha Gill
...in numerical format.
1. She hosts Channel [V]’s By Demand in 2001 (with Adrian da Silva).
2. I watch By Demand and am intrigued by the show.
3. I get bad news about something and to cheer myself up I send a request to By Demand.
4. Channel [V] accepts my request and puts me live on air with Asha and Adrian.
5. I fall in love with the show and immediately create a fansite.
6. A few days later I tell the By Demand crew about the website.
7. By Demand crew fall in love with the website – Asha especially.
8. We become penpals and good friends.
9. Channel [V] gets bought over by Double Vision in Malaysia and everyone I knew is gone – including Asha.
10. I lose contact with her for 9 months but I still see her on TV in The Weakest Link.
11. Channel [V] randomly sends me and my mum on an all-expenses-paid trip to see Alicia Keys live in Vancouver. (This is during the 9 months).
12. I check my email in February 2003 and see an email from her a day before she leaves for shooting in Mumbai.
13. I scream and write a frantic reply.
14. We get back in touch. She asks me to do her official website for her.
15. September 11th 2003, I meet her in person for the first time. It rocks.
16. I work on her official website and launch it on January 1st 2004.
17. We are now very close friends and I am still busy on the website.
